ECDPM wants to contribute to ambitious, fair and effective climate action; explore the European and African politics of green transition and renewable energy deployment; and support the move to sustainable and resilient food systems.
Major changes in global climate action and our food systems are urgently needed to attenuate the worst consequences of the climate crisis and food shortages, while addressing structural inequalities in energy and food access.
Our research on climate, energy and food includes the role of climate in Africa-Europe relations and international cooperation, transboundary climate impacts, energy transition, the governance of food systems, climate adaptation and resilience, and the links between climate change and gender.
