ECDPM at COP27

After six years, the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP) is back in Africa with a spotlight on contributions from Africa. COP27 will take place from 6 to 18 November in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The Glasgow Climate Pact at COP26 failed to capture the emergency mode that many countries called for. A lot will depend now on this COP that will strongly focus on food, water, and adaptation (finance).

We have been looking at the effects of climate change and sustainable food systems for many years from a variety of different and equally relevant perspectives. Before, during and after COP27 we will continue to share our analysis and opinions and facilitate discussions by organising relevant events.

To meet climate change adaptation needs, we need a systemic, comprehensive approach, involving all stakeholders.
