ECDPM wants to contribute to a mutually beneficial and interest-driven partnership between the African Union and the European Union.
The AU and the EU have committed to building a different kind of partnership and moving beyond traditional North-South cooperation, but more so on paper than in practice. At the same time, the EU is seeking to play a more significant global role.
Our research includes work on African and European priorities, summits and strategies; collaboration and coordination between EU member states; the EU’s financial resources for development and international cooperation – particularly the NDICI-Global Europe instrument; digital infrastructure, regulation and governance; and digital transformation for human development.
