Policy Analyst - sustainable food systems

Biography


Cecilia D'Alessandro is a policy analyst in ECDPM's sustainable food systems and climate action and green transition teams.  She is also the gender focal point for the sustainable African economies and climate action cluster.

Cecilia specialises in food security and sustainable food systems, food governance, agri-food value chain development, private sector investment and regional trade, with a focus on East and West Africa. In 2024, she served as Deputy Workstream Head (ad interim) for the Sustainable Food Systems Workstream, contributing to team coordination, strategic planning, and project leadership.

Cecilia holds a master’s degree in economics and development and a bachelor’s degree in development economics and International cooperation, both from the University of Florence.
