Diversity and inclusion

We believe that diversity is good for our people and our business. Having a gender-balanced and diverse group of staff from Europe, Africa and beyond fosters innovative ideas and encourages different ways of thinking and working. We aim to be an equal opportunity employer, and promote diversity and inclusion among our staff and candidates – irrespective of gender, age, nationality, race, culture, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or disability.

Working at ECDPM

Our people carry out a wide variety of jobs depending on their teams and roles. Yet they all have some things in common: they are highly motivated and creative thinkers, with a strong dedication to making change happen. They approach their work with a curious and strategic mindset and strive for excellence and integrity.

We offer our people:

  • A competitive salary, including a holiday and end-of-year allowance
  • A generous leave package of 47 leave days per year, based on a full-time working week
  • Health, travel and pension insurance
  • A considerable degree of flexibility in terms of when and where to work
  • Room to learn and grow professionally, including a yearly individual development budget
  • A dynamic, stimulating and collegial working environment

Young international professionals programme

Since 2013, ECDPM’s young international professionals (YIP) programme has offered graduates from Africa an opportunity to join one of our policy teams for a period of six months to a year. The programme aims to inspire exchanges of expertise, views and networks.

There are currently no open positions in the YIP programme, but we encourage you to keep an eye on this page. For more information about the programme, get in touch with Kathleen van Hove.
