Biography

Geert Laporte was previously senior executive at ECDPM and the director of the European Think Tanks Group (ETTG), the secretariat of which is based at ECDPM.

Geert expertise is in the EU’s international partnerships and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a focus on governance and democracy, conflict resolution and security, policy coherence, migration and development, regional integration, multi-stakeholder participation and inclusive partnerships.

Geert holds a master's degree in contemporary history and in development studies, with a specialisation in public administration, from the University of Ghent.
