Biography

Fabien Tondel is a policy officer in ECDPM's sustainable food systems, AU-EU relations and climate action and green transition teams. He is also a member of the learning and quality team within the outreach and impact department.

Fabien specialises in inclusive agri-food value chain development, rural development and food security, with a focus on West and Eastern Africa and Africa-Europe relations. He also works on policy coherence for sustainable development. 

Prior to joining ECDPM, Fabien worked as a markets and trade advisor for the USAID-funded Famine Early Warning Systems Network. Fabien holds a PhD in agricultural economics and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Kentucky. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the National Superior Institute of Agronomic Sciences, Food and the Environment of Dijon.
