Supporting peacebuilding in times of change: A synthesis of four case studies
What factors influence support for peacebuilding in Europe? How will these impact the future engagement of the peacebuilding community? This report on the changing nature of support for peacebuilding in Europe is the result of 1.5 years of research carried out by ECDPM.
By looking at four case studies chosen for the political and financial weight, namely Germany, Sweden, the UK and the EU institutions, this report offers an insight into how the geopolitical fluxes and shifts in domestic politics over the last few years on the one hand, and the need for more effective responses to the rising number of violent conflicts on the other, have affected the way in which Europe supports peacebuilding initiatives globally.
