As a result of global warming, North Africa is expected to become hotter and drier in the next decades. In this research paper for the CASCADES project, Sophie Desmidt looks at what climate change could mean for development and security challenges in North Africa – particularly when it comes to access to water resources – with a focus on Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
