Biography

Sabine Muscat is a senior policy analyst at the intersection of digital policy, geopolitics, media and democracy. She advises think tanks as well as the public sector and CSOs on international digital policy with a focus on EU-US-China and North-South relations.

She was a consultant to the Mercator Institute for China Studies in Berlin from 2016 to 2019. She reported from the U.S. for print and TV media and served as Financial Times Deutschland's political correspondent in the U.S. from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that she served as the paper's Asia desk editor in Berlin. Sabine holds and MA Chinese Studies from SOAS in London, UK.
