
Ueli Staeger (Associate)
Biography
Dr. Ueli Staeger is an assistant professor of international relations at the University of Amsterdam, specialising in African multilateralism, security and international organisations. His research examines how international organisations mobilise resources and shape security in Africa, with a focus on the African Union. His broader work explores EU-Africa relations, small-state multilateralism and Africa’s role in global cyber governance.
Ueli also consults various organisations on AU politics, peace and security and donor coordination, and is affiliated with the Global Governance Centre at the Geneva Graduate Institute, the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies, and the Middle East Institute Switzerland. He has a PhD from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
