Katja van der Meer (Associate)
Biography
Katja van der Meer is a policy analyst with expertise in human development, global health, green skills, digital policy, gender equality, the future of international cooperation, and other issues relevant to EU external action. She worked at ECDPM from December 2019 to December 2025 as a Policy Officer in the European Foreign and Development Policy team, contributing to research, analysis and policy engagement across a range of development and international cooperation topics.
Katja is currently an Associate Researcher at CEPS, where her work focuses on research and innovation (R&I) in global health and agriculture. She holds an MA in Social and Public Policy from the University of Helsinki and an Advanced MA in Development Evaluation and Management from the University of Antwerp. Katja is a native Finnish speaker and is fluent in English.
