Lobito corridor and agribusiness: From priorities to partnerships - mobilising investments for integrated development

On 28-29 January 2026, ECDPM, together with the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) and hosted by the Government of Zambia, are organising a multi-stakeholder consultative meeting which aims to outline and validate the key investment priorities and business cases identified for the Lobito Corridor.

This is a closed-door and invite-only event.

Background

The meeting aims to outline and validate the key investment priorities and business cases identified for the Lobito Corridor, thereby enhancing national ownership and buy-in from all member states and stakeholders. Furthermore, this engagement will be dedicated to advancing concrete proposals into structured, bankable investment opportunities and to mobilising the decisive partnerships and capital required to catalyze transformative projects in resilient agri-food systems, climate action, and sustainable intra-regional food trade.

Following extensive analytical mapping and in-country consultations, this meeting will convene the governments of Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Zambia alongside private sector leaders, financial institutions, and development partners.
