Food systems finance and climate and food nexus
This event is closed door and by invitation only.
On 20 October 2023 from 10:30-15:30 CEST, ECDPM together with the Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP) are hosting an informal roundtable discussion 'Food systems finance and climate and food nexus: An action oriented dialogue for a stronger engagement of the Dutch food network at the Rome-based agencies' with the aim to bridge connections and strengthen Dutch food network actors’ engagement with the work of the Rome-based agencies.
This informal roundtable discussion is intended to provide an opportunity for a diverse group of participants from the Dutch food network, the Rome-based agencies and African and European Delegations to mutually share recent insights from policy and programmes in two crucial policy areas in an informal and dynamic setting: Financing the food systems transformation: improved mechanisms for public and private finances to work in synergy for greater impact (Session 1); Urgent and transformative action at the food and climate policy nexus: towards a stronger focus on food systems at COP28 (Session 2). This discussion will also serve to identify remaining knowledge gaps and actions to improve Dutch-RBAs collaboration.
The anticipated outcomes of the meeting are:
- Strengthen information sharing and connections between Dutch food network actors and the RBAs initiatives in the two domains;
- Discuss a strengthened role of the RBAs in the finance and climate global debates;
- Identify options for joint activities by the Dutch network platform in support of/in partnership with the RBAs.
