Biography
Thierry Barbé is a seasoned EU official and expert in digitalisation, science, and public health, who led the Science, Technology, Innovation & Digitalisation Unit (F1) at DG INTPA. He previously served as the EU Head of Cooperation in Burkina Faso, where he oversaw EU partnerships in green energy, justice sector reforms, and regional resilience initiatives via the EU Trust Fund for Africa. In his role at DG INTPA, he was involved in shaping EU-Africa science and technology collaboration, contributing to initiatives under the EU’s digital and research agenda.
