Pål Klouman Bekken (Fellow)
Biography
Pål Klouman Bekken is a Norwegian diplomat with over 20 years of experience in conflict areas. He previously served as Norway's Special Representative for Afghanistan and has extensive expertise in fragile-state reconstruction and conflict resolution.
Currently, Pål is on a two-year sabbatical based in Paris, where he balances his diplomatic background with professional activities in real estate finance and investment.
He holds a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, an Executive Master of Business Administration from TRIUM (NYU Stern School of Business, LSE, and HEC Paris), and a Master in African Politics from SOAS, University of London. His recent advisory and research work focuses on the intersection of public and private finance, specifically regarding the mobilisation of private capital for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
