Biography

Katja van der Meer is a policy officer in ECDPM's European foreign and development policy and inclusive governance and accountability teams. She is also the gender focal point for the Europe and Africa in the world cluster.

Katja specialises in EU and international development cooperation at large, global health, human development, SRHR, gender equality and anti-corruption. 

Before joining ECDPM, Katja worked as a trainee at the European Commission's Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, and carried out a traineeship at International  Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA). 

Katja holds a master’s degree in Social and Public Policy from the University of Helsinki and a master’s in Development Evaluation and Management from the University of Antwerp.
