Christian-Géraud Neema (Associate)
Biography
Christian-Geraud Neema is a China-Africa relations expert, focusing on natural resources governance and the impact of great power competition on African countries. He is the Africa editor of The China Global South Project, a very well known project that offers insights and a balanced commentary on China’s global outreach. He is also a non-resident scholar for the Africa Program at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.
In his past career, Christian-Geraud worked in the mining sector in the DRC and worked on social development and policy advocacy in the same country. He has a master’s degree in international development from the International University of Japan and a bachelor’s degree in international politics from Renmin University in China.
