Carla Pagano (Associate)
Biography
Carla Pagano is a feminist international consultant in gender equality and human rights. She holds a master’s in Human and women rights in Islam and a master’s in studies of sexual difference.
Carla has worked for the past 23 years in large-scale international programmes, on gender equality across the Middle East and North Africa region, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. Carla has extensive experience in leading capacity development of public bodies on mainstreaming gender in policies and programmes of public service delivery, gender audits, and monitoring, evaluation and learning with a feminist approach.
Her main areas of expertise in gender equality include climate change, cultural and creative industries, digitalisation, education, food systems, governance, religion, gender-based violence, justice systems, migration, women’s economic empowerment, and women, peace and security.
