Developing and deploying agri-food and climate tech innovations: The role of technology transfer

On 16 October 2023 from 15:00-18:00 CEST, ECDPM together with LVenture Group and CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform, are hosting an event titled ‘Developing and Deploying Agri-Food and Climate Tech Innovations: The Role of Technology Transfer’ with the aim of identifying how thriving ecosystems that support the development and deployment of innovations, empower young talent, enhance business competitiveness, and drive cooperative development can be created.

Focusing on agri-food and climate tech, the objectives of the event are:

  • To discuss the inhibiting reality whereby cutting-edge and potentially game-changing innovations are often stuck at the pre-commercial phase.
  • To discuss the human capital and infrastructure needed by final recipients to absorb new technologies, and the conditions from policy and investment prospectives.
  • To explore models that can accelerate the development, deployment and adoption of agri-food and climate-tech solutions.
  • To identify areas for collaboration and joint effort between international and development actors, where tech transfer and entrepreneurship can be encouraged, thus driving high-impact solutions.

The event will take place at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT of CGIAR office, Via di San Domenico 1, Rome.
