Said Djinnit

Biography

Ambassador Said Djinnit is a member of ECDPM's board of governors since April 2023. He is an Algerian career diplomat who served at the Organisation of African Unity and the African Union in leadership positions including that of commissioner for peace and security. He also served the United Nations as under-secretary-general, special representative and special envoy of the secretary-general in West Africa and the Great Lakes region respectively. He is passionate about conflict prevention and mediation.
