Alan Hirsch

Biography

Alan Hirsch is a member of ECDPM's board of governors. He is a research fellow at the New South Institute, an emeritus professor at the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance – University of Cape Town, and a research associate at the Centre for Migration and Diaspora Studies at SOAS. He is currently also an economic advisor to South African president Cyril Ramaphosa and served as a senior policy advisor to three previous South African presidents.
