ECDPM in top 10 European think tanks for funding transparency

For the third year in a row, ECDPM was awarded a five-star ranking – the highest possible score – in the 2016 think tank transparency report released by Transparify.

This year, the Georgia-based non-profit initiative Transparify assessed 200 think tanks in 47 countries with regards to their financial transparency and and the accessibility of information on donors.

The five-star rating was awarded to only ten organisations in the EU. Transparify praises ECDPM for having “all donors listed, clearly identifying funding amounts for, and sources of, particular projects”.

Since 1986, we have been committed to transparency, accountability and integrity. At present, a large part of our core funding comes from the government of the Netherlands. We also receive institutional funding from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as programme funding from Portugal and the UK.

In addition to that, we receive project funding from a diverse group of funding agencies. We have, for example, carried out several projects funded by the European Commission, most of them strategic and thematic evaluations.
