Pamella Ahairwe is a policy officer in ECDPM's economic recovery and transformation, digital economy and governance and climate action and green transition teams.

Pamella’s work focuses on blended finance, development finance institutions, the EU financial architecture, and agriculture and climate finance – in Europe, Africa and beyond.

Before joining ECDPM, Pamella was an ACP trainee in the country and financial sector analysis division of the European Investment Bank’s economics department. Pamella was also involved in USAID, UN, World Bank and GIZ development research projects in the areas of finance, agriculture, education and health. 

She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Botswana, under the collaborative master’s programme, and an award from the African Economic Research Consortium. Pamella also has a bachelor’s degree (honours) in development economics from Makerere University.
