Biography
Daniel Adeniyi is a policy officer in ECDPM's sustainable food systems and climate action and green transition teams.
Before joining ECDPM, Daniel was a professional officer at ICLEI Africa, working on food systems, urban planning and circular development in Africa. He was formerly a postdoctoral fellow at the DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Food Security in South Africa, conducting research on food systems governance in South Africa.
Daniel holds a master's degree and a PhD in development studies from the University of the Western Cape, an MPhil degree in monitoring and evaluation from Stellenbosch University, and a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning from Obafemi Awolowo University. Daniel is a professional city planner and a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA).
