The 2017 edition of YO!Fest – an event organised for young people, by young people – will come to Maastricht on 6 and 7 February. The festival will bring together around 3.000 young people to debate the future of Europe.

This year’s festival will take place in Maastricht’s creative Sphinxkwartier and is a key highlight of Europe Calling – a year of events to mark the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Maastricht Treaty. The programme includes debates, workshops, live music, theatre and sports.

ECDPM’s Sophie Desmidt, Philomena Apiko, Karim Karaki, Greta Galeazzi, Paulina Bizzotto Molina, Carmen Torres, Nina Thijssen, Franz Rothe and Valeria Pintus will join the activities and will facilitate two interactive workshops on 7 February:

  • Interactive workshop 1: Youth – A shared priority for Africa and Europe
  • Interactive workshop 2: Making agriculture climate-smart
