The Finnish Presidency and ECDPM are hosting an informal lunchtime discussion for CODEV delegates on November 11 at the Finnish Permanent Representation.
At the event, ECDPM will present their new discussion paper on the upcoming EU programming exercise. Following up a paper they released last year on NDICI programming.
The discussion paper is a short analytical piece which looks into the challenges and opportunities to move beyond traditional sector approaches towards a more strategic and integrated cooperation with partner countries. It aims to provide some thinking on the principles and approaches that should steer the next programming process and feed into the preparation of the programming guidelines. The discussion paper will come out in early November before the event.
After the presentation by ECDPM, the EEAS and the Commission are invited to comment. Mr Filiberto Ceriani Sebregondi (Head of Division, EEAS/Global 5, Development cooperation coordination), Mr Vincent Grimaud (Head of Unit, DG DEVCO/A6, Coordination and Programming of External Financing Instruments) and Ms Armelle Lidou (Head of Unit, DG NEAR/A4, MFF, Programming and Evaluation) will make remarks, followed by a discussion with Member States.
ECDPM’s Alexei Jones will present at this event.
This event is by invitation only.
