The third Tunis Forum – organised by the Arab Institute of Business Leaders – will focus on the means of institutional, economic and security cooperation between Tunisia, Libya and Algeria. The current economic, political and social situation in Tunisia is depending on its neighbouring countries’ situation: Algeria and Libya. Terrorism, contraband and direct trade decline with Tunisia’s neighboring countries are affecting the economic situation.
The transitional period has left its legacy mainly due to the prioritisation of the political transition at the cost of effectively securing our borders and proposing concrete solutions to border regions. The situation is being more crucial as our economy is badly hit by two major risks: terrorism and contraband. Inherent risks associated with the instability and discomfort felt in the border regions.
