ECDPM event
|Panel Discussion
This joint ECDPM and ACET session will illustrate the opportunities, incentives and challenges of trade in an African integration context, from a practical perspective. The speakers will not only address the merits of trade integration for inclusive development, but also the concrete challenges of implementation in three specific cases; Telecom in EAC, Mode IV in WA, and the CFTA. They will bring a political economy understanding of winners and losers related to specific interests that shape trade integration progress in Africa.
Moderator: Kathleen Van Hove, Senior Policy Officer, ECDPM.
This event will take place in the framework of the WTO Public Forum 2017 — “Trade: Behind the Headlines” (room B).
