Launch of the Commitment to Development Index 2015
Several weeks ago the world leaders agreed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs will shape the next 15 years of development agenda in a way which goes far beyond the provision of development assistance. How important are these goals for development and prosperity beyond Europe’s borders? What is the role of Europe in making the Goals happen? And how can European institutions and governments contribute to achieving positive change?
The Commitment to Development Index has been published by the Center for Global Development for the past decade. The Index goes beyond traditional measures of providing development assistance and measures how development friendly a country’s policies are across seven policy dimensions, including trade, finance, security, technology and others.
ECDPM’s Bruce Byiers will sit on the panel.
