The overarching topic of this year’s GIZ Symposium, on ‘Economic and Social Development, Employment’ will be the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. During the week-long Symposium, the sectoral communities from the fields of health, social protection, education, TVET, financial systems development, employment, private sector development and economic policy will be discussing the implications for our work of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We also plan to familiarise ourselves with new and innovative approaches and share experiences of implementing the SDGs in a variety of regional contexts.
ECDPM’s Bruce Byiers gave the following presentation ‘Political Economy of Regional Integration in Africa: What drives and constrains regional organisations?‘
