‘Food Fights’ debate series: Local and indigenous foods

WOTRO, the Science for Global Development department of NWO (the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research) is organising an online debate series on food and nutrition security, based on new knowledge and insights from the ‘Food & Business Research programme’ funded by NWO-WOTRO and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The first debate will focus on local and indigenous foods and focuses on the following statement:

“Promoting indigenous foods is the solution to addressing food and nutrition insecurity in the Global South”

ECDPM’s Francesco Rampa will participate as a debater, together with dr Sijmen Schoustra, Assistant Professor at the Department of Plant Sciences at Wageningen University.
