PERIA lunch seminar series

Few will contest the importance of regional integration in Africa. Yet, the reality on the ground does not match the ambitious policies and political declarations. Building on its long-time work on regional integration, ECDPM took a closer look at the drivers and hurdles of the integration process and what role the regional organisations play. This work on the Political Economy of Regional Organisations in Africa (PERIA) includes five African Regional Economic Communities and the African Union.

To stimulate an open discussion on the dynamics of regional integration in Africa, and the implications for key stakeholders, ECDPM is organising a series of lunch seminars at their Brussels office (rue Archimede 5, 1000 Brussels).

A recent paper by keynote speaker Fredrik Söderbaum (read it here, in Swedish) will form the basis for discussion at this event. Please click here to go to the publication.
