|Panel Discussion
This panel discussion aims at enabling actors involved in trade integration in East Africa to share ideas and experiences on how to foster inclusive trade. Our panel members are representatives of Trade Mark East Africa and BoPInc.
Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) is a multi-donor funded aid for trade agency. It focuses on ensuring that trade results in tangible gains for East Africans. But how can a top-down agency ensure inclusive trade integration? How can TMEA reach the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) and work bottom up? What can be learned from BoPInc? BoPInc supports companies in setting up business models that include the people in the BoP as consumers, producers and entrepreneurs.
ECDPM’s Bruce Byiers will moderate this session.
