The Forum is organised by the Senegalese Government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad) and the Pan-African Institute of Strategy, with the support of the French Ministry of Defense and the Association de soutien au Forum de Dakar (ASFORDAK), in conjunction with the African Union and our international partners.

An organising committee, in which the Senegalese representatives and their French partners are working together in order to ensure the strategic orientation and the preparation of the 2015 edition, has been constituted.

This 2nd Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security will bring together more than 500 high level stakeholders: heads of state and government leaders, ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense ministers, military officials, representatives from regional and international institutions, experts, academic and civil society, think tanks and members of the private sector.

A dozen of workshops will be dedicated to topical issues related to the decisive security-related challenges in Africa and their impact at international level, with a focus on the most concrete and operational aspects.
