After COP21 in Paris, the challenges of slowing climate change and responding to its impacts will be high on the agenda of foreign policy makers.
What priorities should shape foreign policy action on climate issues this year and in the decade ahead? What should be the focus of European climate diplomacy? As the European Union works to develop a Global Strategy on foreign and security policy, what coherent long term thinking can be utilised to minimise, manage and respond to climate risks.
The European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), in collaboration with l’Institut du développement durable et des relations internationales (IDDRI) and adelphi will bring together senior experts and practitioners from across Europe to discuss the daunting challenge posed by climate change.
