The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) is the foremost inclusive international and intergovernmental platform for all stakeholders to work together to ensure food security and nutrition for all. Using a multi-stakeholder, inclusive approach, CFS develops and endorses policy recommendations and guidance on a wide range of food security and nutrition topics. Apart from presenting at the side-event, ECDPM will actively engage in discussions and meetings with key stakeholders to continue brokering processes and partnerships related to Sustainable Food Systems over time.
ECDPM’s Francesco Rampa and Carmen Torres will attend the 44th session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) in Rome. ECDPM, together with FAO, the Permanent Mission of Italy and Actionaid, organise a side-event on “The potential of migration for food security and nutrition“, taking place on Thursday 12 October at 8:30 AM. During this event Francesco Rampa will present Discussion Paper 212: The nexus between food and nutrition security, and migration: Clarifying the debate and charting a way forward.
