Working at ECDPM

ECDPM’s headquarters are based in the historic city of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

Maastricht is an international city with an atmosphere to match. Located in the Dutch province of Limburg, it’s close to large cities such as Aachen, Düsseldorf, Liège, and Antwerp. Only 90 minutes from Brussels by car or public transport, 3 hours from Paris by train and one hour from London direct from Maastricht-Aachen airport, Maastricht is well served by transport links.

The city is popular with tourists for shopping, recreation and a taste of the epicurean character of the south of the Netherlands. The diversity of European culture is clearly visible in Maastricht – it is for good reason that Maastricht stood at the cradle of the European Union in 1992 at the time of the signing of the Maastricht Treaty.

Maastricht still plays a major international role with a world leading research intensive University, which has a large and growing international student population. It’s home to various international schools and a vibrant expatriate community. With a flourishing musical, artistic and cultural scene with a range of concerts and festivals throughout the year, Maastricht really does have something to offer everyone.

At the end of 2015, ECDPM had 68 staff members, of which 40 were women. Staff represents 26 nationalities: Algerian, American, Australian, Belgian, Benin, Bosnian, British, Canadian, Costa Rican, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Irish, Italian, Kenyan, Mauritanian, Mauritian, Nigerian, Portuguese, South African, Spanish, Swiss, Ugandan, and Uruguayan.
