Grow Africa is an African-owned, country-led and market based partnership tool for making agriculture the engine for economic growth. Grow Africa is set to foster investments that are inclusive and responsible, investments where the net value creation benefits stakeholders throughout the value chain, and in particular farmers through effective business models. We see smallholder farmer inclusion as the single most important issue in African agriculture that has the ability to transform agricultural systems and national economies. The story is about governments and leaders that need to create vibrant eco-systems where SMEs can add value by participating in open and transparent value chain partnerships.
Grow Africa partners will convene the annual Grow Africa Investment Forum from 2-4 June in Cape Town, South Africa and feed into the 2015 World Economic Forum on Africa. Guests of the World Economic Forum’s Africa Regional Summit may access the same information on the Toplink Engagement Platform. Inquiries about participating in the Grow Africa Investment Forum may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
ECDPM’s Francesco Rampa will sit on the panel in the session on “Improving Regional Trade”.
